Common questions

Does Boxsight need an account?

No. Nothing to sign up for, and every feature works without one. The one place an address is asked for is optional and comes later: reading the reply to a support report, which needs somewhere to reply to.

Does the detection happen on the phone, or in the cloud?

On the phone. The model runs on the device, so no image is uploaded to be analysed and the app keeps detecting without a connection.

Does anything leave my device?

Only crash reports and anonymous usage statistics. No image, no video and no camera credential is ever sent anywhere.

Is Boxsight free?

Yes, within the limits described on its Google Play listing. Boxsight Pro is an optional subscription that lifts them.

Which version of Android does it need?

Android 10 or later.
